Guest Artist: Sara Beth McVey
Sara Beth McVey's photography journey began as a teen when she got her first camera. As a self-taught photographer, her work has become more prolific since retiring. She currently lives in Sanibel Island Florida and enjoys photographing wildlife, shells and sunsets. She was recognized in 2024 by the Her nature inspired photographs are shared on her public Facebook page “Sara Beth Seas”. Her photo “I feel Pretty” of a dancing reddish egret was awarded Honorable Mention in the 2024 Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge Amateur Photo contest.
Exploring nature, through photography is my hobby and capturing those moments is what I "see" through the camera and the “Seas” are the subject in many photos. I feel like many people enjoy a little zen moment when look at the sea at sunset. I think many people relate the photographs to a moment they enjoyed by the sea with their toes in the sand, wind in their hair, salt on their lips and the sea in their heart.
